On the morning of November 24, the "Traditional Culture at the Fingertips, Stress-Relief Dialogue in the Heart" Sino-French student joint activity, organized by the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers at Southeast University, was held in the college's smart classroom. Through traditional handcraft experiences, the event aimed to deepen cultural exchange between Chinese and French students and convey the profound heritage and rich connotations of traditional Chinese culture.

At the beginning of the event, Vice Dean Chen Yang of the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers engaged in cordial conversations with the Sino-French students. At her invitation, the participating students eagerly shared their learning and life experiences at Southeast University, quickly narrowing the distance between one another in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Subsequently, the activity proceeded to the sachet-making session. Under the teacher's explanation, the students first got to know various Chinese herbal medicines such as clove, mugwort, tangerine peel, and patchouli, gaining a preliminary understanding of their traditional efficacy and modern applications in "diffusing fragrance, dispelling dampness, and awakening the spleen." In the process of personally mixing the spices and filling the sachets, the Sino-French students not only experienced the joy of handcrafting but also actively communicated surrounded by the rich fragrance, jointly appreciating the unique charm of traditional Chinese medicine culture and craftsmanship.

Next came the green rice cake making. Chinese and French students got hands-on by kneading the dough, adding fillings and shaping the cakes. They helped each other and gained in-depth understanding of the traditions of the Qingming and Cold Food Festivals. More than a fun handicraft experience, this activity offered an immersive dialogue with time-honored solar term culture, effectively deepening cultural exchanges between Chinese and French students.

At the end of the activity, the students proudly displayed their handmade sachet works and took group photos to commemorate the occasion. This activity not only helped the students effectively relieve their academic stress but also built a bridge of friendship and mutual understanding across cultures.
