On the afternoon of March 24, a university-enterprise exchange symposium between Southeast University and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation was held at the Jiulonghu Campus. Li Haipeng, Director of CETC, led a delegation comprising representatives from the group headquarters and several member units. Sun Litao, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Southeast University Committee and Vice President of Southeast University, and Jin Shi, Vice President of Southeast University and Dean of the National Institute of Excellent Engineers, attended the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Xiaobing, Party Secretary of the National Institute of Excellent Engineers of Southeast University.
At the beginning of the meeting, Jin Shi extended a warm welcome to the CETC delegation on behalf of the university. He noted that Southeast University and CETC have maintained a sound cooperative relationship over the years, achieving fruitful results in talent cultivation, scientific research, and key technological breakthroughs. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to further deepen practical cooperation in areas such as the joint cultivation of excellent engineers, the co-construction of high-level scientific research platforms, and the development of high-caliber talent teams. He also called for exploring new models and pathways for university-enterprise collaborative innovation, with the aim of jointly building a model example of industry-education integration.
Li Haipeng stated that Southeast University has distinctive disciplinary strengths and strong research capabilities. Its advantages in fields such as electronic information and instrument science are highly aligned with CETC’s development strategy. He emphasized that the visit not only continued the profound friendship between the two sides, but also marked a new starting point for deepening future cooperation. He expressed the hope that both sides would further leverage their respective strengths and carry out deeper cooperation at a higher level and across broader fields, including collaborative research on key technologies, joint development and sharing of innovation resources, and joint talent cultivation, so as to achieve genuine complementary advantages, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes.
During the discussion, Sun Litao noted that the university has always placed strategic cooperation with CETC in a prominent position, and that the two sides enjoy a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation. He emphasized that Southeast University will continue to focus on major national strategic needs, promote collaborative research in key fields, accelerate the efficient alignment of innovation resources, and continuously improve the long-term mechanism for university-enterprise cooperation. In doing so, the university will demonstrate greater responsibility and make greater contributions to serving China’s high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening.
In the exchange and discussion session, the two sides held in-depth discussions on key areas including deepening strategic cooperation, promoting collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research, strengthening joint talent cultivation, advancing key technological breakthroughs, and expanding the scope of university-enterprise cooperation. The two sides fully exchanged views on various topics and reached broad consensus, clarifying the direction and laying a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation. After the meeting, the delegation visited Southeast University’s Shungui Laboratory and the National Institute of Excellent Engineers.
Relevant officials from Southeast University’s Office of Domestic Cooperation, Research Institute, Talent Affairs Office, Laboratory and Equipment Management Office, Network and Information Center, National Institute of Excellent Engineers, School of Information Science and Engineering, and School of Instrument Science and Engineering attended the symposium.
