On the afternoon of January 3, the Promotion Meeting for Industrial and Technological Innovation together with the signing ceremony for industry-university-research cooperation was held in Jianye District, Nanjing. Jia Chen, Deputy District Chief and Acting District Chief of Jianye District, Wu Xia, Deputy Director of Nanjing Science and Technology Bureau, Jin Shi, Vice President of Southeast University and Dean ofthe National Graduate College for Elite Engineers,Chen Haishan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Zhang Yangfei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanjing Institute of Technology, and other relevant leaders attended the event.

In his address, District Chief Jia Chen stated that efforts will be made to build an integrated system for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements featuring overall regional resource coordination, full-process ecosystem optimization and full-cycle service support. He urged universities to prioritize research on key and core technologies, coordinate basic and applied research as well as major technological breakthroughs and cutting-edge R&D, and strive to deliver a number of original and disruptive scientific and technological achievements. Meanwhile, he invited more enterprises, universities and research institutes to join in the development of Hexi Central Science and Innovation Zone. The goal is to facilitate smooth circulation and in-depth integration of innovation, industrial, capital and talent chains, accelerate high-level self-reliance and strength in science and technology, and continuously foster new drivers and strengths for development.

Vice President Jin Shi noted in his speech that Southeast University and Jianye District of Nanjing share extensive common goals in talent cultivation, technological research and industrial development. Leveraging the strengths ofthe National Graduate College for Elite Engineersin fostering emerging disciplines, advancing interdisciplinary integration and integrating industry with education, the university will combine its advantages with Jianye District's superior resources in policies and industries. Both sides will further deepen university-local cooperation, boost in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation, advance high-quality development for all parties, and cultivate moreeliteengineers capable of tackling complex engineering problems.
Presidents Chen Haishan and Zhang Yangfei also delivered speeches. They expressed the hope that this cooperation will further deepen the integration of industry and education, and drive the coordinated advancement of technological progress and talent training.

Liu Zhiyuan, Vice Dean ofthe National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, Southeast University, signed the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation with Jianye District, Nanjing on behalf of the school. Vice President Jin Shi and Liang Aiguo, Director of the Standing Committee of Jianye District People's Congress, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Joint Training Base foreliteengineers between Southeast University and Jianye District, Nanjing. The event also included agreement signing and plaque unveiling ceremonies between Jianye District and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology as well as Nanjing Institute of Technology. Other sessions covered cooperation project signings, speeches by park representatives and enterprise representatives.

This cooperation marks substantial progress made by Southeast University and Jianye District, Nanjing in advancing industry-university-research integration and local economic and social development. It also sets an exemplary model for strategic cooperation in jointly cultivatingeliteengineers and tackling core technological bottlenecks. Taking this opportunity,the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers of Southeast University will further deepen industry-university-research integration and forge a new model for university-local collaboration.
