On November 1, the launch meeting of the Southeast University-Guosheng Intelligent TechnologyElite Engineer Technology Center for Key Core Technologies of High-end CNC Machine Tools was held at Nantong Guosheng Intelligent Technology Group. This is the firstelite engineer technology center established by Southeast University in the field of industrial machine tools. Relevant officials from provincial, municipal and district authorities of industry and information technology as well as science and technology, Ni Zhonghua, Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Chen Yang, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of tthe National Graduate College for Elite Engineers of Southeast University, and Pan Weiguo, Chairman of Guosheng Intelligent Technology, attended the event.
Associate Professor Yan Yan of Southeast University reviewed the cooperation history between the two parties. Liu Chuanjin, Deputy General Manager of Guosheng Intelligent Technology, briefed attendees on technical exchanges. Chen Yang, Deputy Party Secretary ofthe National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, introduced the school's general information. It is among China's first batch of leading pilotnationalgraduatecollege foreEliteengineers training institutions and the only one of its kind in Jiangsu Province.
Deputy Party Secretary Chen Yang presented the plaque of Southeast University — Nantong Guosheng Intelligent Technology GroupElite Engineer Technology Center for Key Core Technologies of High-end CNC Machine Tools to Chairman Pan Weiguo of Guosheng Intelligent Technology. All attending leaders and guests witnessed this important moment marking a new leap forward in the cooperation between the two sides.
Chairman Pan Weiguo stated in his speech that Guosheng Intelligent Technology has built a solid cooperative foundation with Southeast University. Through the joint construction of theElite Engineer Technology Center, the two sides will make concerted efforts in technological innovation and industrial application. They will foster a team ofeliteengineers urgently needed for national strategies, and provide strong support for breaking through core technological bottlenecks in high-end CNC machine tools and building a hub for technological innovation.
Party Secretary Ni Zhonghua fully recognized the cooperation between the two sides and expressed high hopes for its future. He called on all team members to uphold a strong sense of mission and responsibility, and work in close collaboration to achieve breakthroughs in the basic theories behind key core technologies of high-end CNC machine tools. The two sides will cultivate more customized high-end talents to drive technological innovation and development in the high-end equipment manufacturing sector.
Following the launching ceremony, project teams from Southeast University and Guosheng Intelligent Technology held their first meeting. Relevant project leaders from the university elaborated on the implementation plan, and members of both teams engaged in in-depth discussions.
Machine tools are the cornerstone and cradle of the entire industrial system. Both central and provincial authorities attach great importance to and support the development of the machine tool industry. Enterprises with dedication and cutting-edge universities need to team up for joint research, integrate industry, academia and research, and drive industrial progress.
