On September 4, 2025, to further promote school-enterprise cooperation and advance scientific and technological innovation as well as joint talent cultivation, Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers and Goertek Co., Ltd. held a cooperation exchange meeting. The event included a morning opening ceremony and enterprise visit, followed by an afternoon symposium and signing ceremony. Participants included Chen Yang, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers; Song Jia, Director of the Cultivation Office; counselors and other staff members; and, from Goertek Co., Ltd., Xu Yan, Senior Director of Talent Allocation; Wang Yongpeng, Senior Director of Learning and Development; Yuan Shuibo, Head of Training Operations; Ma Linna, Manager of University-Enterprise Cooperation at the HR Headquarters; Liu Ran, Manager of the Learning and Development Center at the HR Headquarters; and Shi Mengqi, the university-enterprise cooperation representative for the Nanjing region.
The opening ceremony was held at Goertek’s headquarters, where representatives from both sides attended. Ma Linna welcomed the leaders, teachers, and the 24th cohort of students from Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers who were participating in enterprise practice. She stated that the company has always attached great importance to cooperation with universities and hopes that this collaboration will help Goertek cultivate more high-end technical talent and further promote technological innovation and market expansion.
After the opening ceremony, the faculty and students from the school visited Goertek’s R&D and production bases. During the visit, Goertek experts and technical staff gave detailed explanations of the company’s core technologies, innovative products, and industrial chain layout. Through the visit, the participants gained a more intuitive understanding of the company’s operating model, technology development process, and industrial development, and they expressed strong confidence in the future prospects of school-enterprise cooperation.
In the symposium session, the leaders and participants from both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions. Xu Yan first introduced the company profile and explained in detail the joint training model with the school. Goertek hopes to work closely with the school to jointly cultivate more high-level technical talent that meets enterprise needs, while promoting deep integration of industry, academia, and research to help the company further develop in the global market.
Subsequently, Chen Yang introduced the school’s strengths in student cultivation and scientific innovation, emphasizing the importance of school-enterprise cooperation. He noted that close collaboration in talent cultivation and technological research can drive greater development for both sides in the future. The cooperation model between the school and Goertek will cover academic research, technological development, talent cultivation, and other fields, helping to cultivate more high-quality innovative talent aligned with market needs.
At the meeting, the two sides signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Construction of the Joint Training Base, marking the official launch of comprehensive cooperation in high-level talent cultivation between the school and Goertek. In the next stage, the two sides will jointly promote the collaborative training of graduate students and advance scientific and technological innovation, achievement transformation, and industrial technology development.
The signing of the cooperation agreement marks substantive progress in the deep cooperation between the school and Goertek in promoting the integration of industry, academia, and research. In the future, the school and Goertek will carry out closer cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, technological innovation, and other areas, working together to promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research, cultivate more outstanding innovative talent for society, and inject new momentum into enterprise development.
