Recently, the 2025 Management Committee Meeting and project exchange session of the Southeast University–Goertek Wearable Medical and Health Exceptional Engineer Technology Center was successfully held at Southeast University. Professor Liu Chengyu, Dean of the School of Instrument Science and Engineering and head of the exceptional engineer technology center at Southeast University, and Zhang Jinguo, Executive Dean of Alpha Labs at Goertek Co., Ltd., attended the exchange meeting. Relevant teachers from the School of Instrument Science and Engineering and the National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers at Southeast University, as well as project leaders and enterprise mentor representatives from Goertek Co., Ltd., participated in the discussion.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Liu Chengyu focused on the key issues in the construction of the exceptional engineer center and gave a comprehensive report on the progress of the technology center’s work. The two sides then held in-depth technical discussions on cooperative projects and future planning. In the area of talent cultivation, they discussed key aspects such as jointly building courses, teaching materials, lesson plans, and teaching methods, aiming to create high-quality teaching resources that align with industry needs and lead engineering education. In addition, they conducted detailed and forward-looking discussions regarding the research topics of five students who are about to begin practical study at Goertek Co., Ltd., ensuring that the students’ practical learning will be truly beneficial.

The successful holding of this management committee meeting marks the Southeast University–Goertek Wearable Medical and Health Exceptional Engineer Technology Center’s entry into a normalized operational track, with all work progressing steadily. The outcomes of the meeting will further promote the cultivation of exceptional engineers to a higher level and move toward the goal of conducting real research on real problems, carrying out real scientific inquiry, and producing real results in genuine engineering environments.
