In March, Chen Yang, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers, led a delegation to key organizations in Beijing and other locations for research and exchange activities. Participants also included faculty and students from the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Energy and Environment, the School of Software, and the School of Exceptional Engineers.
1. Exchange at the 514th Research Institute of the 5th Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation
At the 514th Research Institute of the 5th Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, both sides held in-depth exchanges. The institute introduced its history, research directions, and recruitment requirements, and presented its scientific research achievements in aerospace technology and engineering applications. Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers then introduced the school’s overview, talent cultivation model, and strengths in school-enterprise cooperation. During the free discussion session, both sides had in-depth discussions on how to deepen school-enterprise cooperation and promote talent cultivation and technological innovation, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.

2. Exchange at China National Petroleum National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers
Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers and China National Petroleum’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers held an exchange meeting. During the meeting, China National Petroleum introduced its work in engineering master’s and doctoral training, while Southeast University systematically presented its talent cultivation model and practical experience in this field. Through in-depth discussion, both sides carried out extensive exchanges on the training model for engineering master’s and doctoral students, the joint talent cultivation mechanism, and research cooperation.
This exchange laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two sides in engineering education, talent cultivation, and scientific research innovation, and opened up new ideas and directions for future collaboration.

3. Exchange at the China Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid
The delegation first visited the exhibition hall of the China Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid, where they learned in detail about the institute’s development history, technological innovation achievements, and major breakthroughs in power science. The exhibition showcased cutting-edge research achievements in multiple fields. After the visit, both sides held in-depth discussions on engineering technology, talent cultivation, and school-enterprise cooperation. The exchange focused on power science and technology, industry development trends, and the potential for both sides to collaborate in technological innovation and scientific research.
Through this exchange, the cooperation prospects between Southeast University and the China Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid in technological development and high-level talent cultivation became even broader.

4. Expanding horizons and promoting industry-academia-research integration — participation in CEEC2025
To broaden professional horizons and promote the integration of industry, academia, and research, Southeast University’s National Graduate School of Exceptional Engineers also organized students to attend the 15th China International Clean Energy Expo (CEEC2025) held in March 2025. Through the exhibition, students gained a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies and industrial trends in the clean energy sector. The activity provided them with valuable practical experience and helped them understand the latest technological development trends, laying a foundation for their future career development.
This research and exchange activity strengthened cooperation between Southeast University and key organizations, broadened the horizons of teachers and students, and promoted talent cultivation and technological innovation. It also laid a foundation for future industry-academia-research collaboration and provided practical opportunities for students.
